it all starts at home

i awake in the swirling
mist of night
i have never felt such darkness
but just as a light
shines from its source
so the black of a dead heart
runs its course
bombs and planes
and melted steel
and lies and the knee
jerk kick in the belly
of a dark-skinned nation
hate
don’t stop the madness!
heart hate fuel is running low
oil of ages cannot fill
the empty heart chamber
stand back! from the death
throes spittle of a dead snake
twitching
dead heart thumping
black gun stomping
will cease in the earth heart
light of love and the revolution
