ants

they came boiling out
of the hole like a wave
‘o evil and i screamed
loose it boys and we did
we poured into them like
cheese on the nachos
billions of ants
screaming that high
wavering ant scream
you know
well they got to us
when we all had walls
twenty feet high above us
low ammo knowin’ it blue
the deep secrets came out
the sun shone bright without air
i became myself
and a travelling man
humming a freeway in Indiana
free free way
leaf spiral fall sharp
smoke
woman home
