Collateral Damage

Her exquisite corpse
Blood in cooling crystals flows
A stiffening breeze blows
And she stiffens in the breeze
Blind and staring glazy eyes
Reflect a firmament she’ll never see
While Orion slowly sheaths his starry sword
And marches stately clockwork-like away
Across the turning sky.
