crashing from consciousness

reeling like a drunken angel
angling headlong from heaven
born from grease that lubes
the wheel and blasting
like a bacon strip crashing
on the sizzling surface
couldnĀ¹t find the black box
of all that we had been
and known and done
just fugitives of soul
from a hole in the sky
and here we are to guess
on the disconnected glass
surface shards of
day to day
why buffoon bonebreak?
come crashing down
like a whale in a fish bowl
smash the glass
and life stuff slips away
try a little tiptoe
and whisper round
the blowhole
treasure in fat fingers
a life is like a jewel
like a planet is a lover
kiss her in the moonlight
and silent steal away
