oslo andy

oslo andy

living in the wall

of the catacomb

readin’ ‘n a’prayin’

why why why he cries

this god is a mystery

he makes me, then he

makes me think, then he

makes me think he’s not

real

what am i to think?

oslo andy shivers against

the ancient bricks

oh man i shoulda stayed home

and ordered a pizza

never shoulda answered that

phone

never shoulda asked myself

what the hell i’m doing here

he says: i’m a goner if’n he

don’t send me no sign soon

and right at there very moment

a flyer came floating down the dark

wet hall and landed right on oslo

andy’s lap

it said: TONIGHT ONLY

REUNION CONCERT

OSLO AMPITHEATER

COME SEE GOD’S TEETH

and oslo andy got mad

that’s me, he said, what

they doing with my music?

and he showed up and they was

waiting for him and he

got up and sang

and felt pretty good

until he got hit by the

flying brick

what is it with bricks

he thought

on the way to the clinic

old bricks new bricks

i’m going home to the

wife and kids and build

me a brick wall in the backyard

and oslo andy got on a plane home

but it sucked up a brick in the engine

and the only survivor, oslo andy,

ended up on an island all alone

thinking and hopin’ ’til

one day a flyer came floatin’ down

it said:

TONIGHT ONLY

REUNION CONCERT

OTHER SIDE OF THE BEACH

COME SEE GOD’S TEETH
